ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Department of Labor and Employment 9 (DOLE 9) in partnership with the DOLE Regional Coordinating Committee 9 will conduct a 2-day free Capacity Building Webinar for Safety Officer 1 dubbed as “Coping in the New Normal” starting August 11, 2020.

Regional Director Atty. Roy L. Buenafe shared that this training activity aims to orient and equip Safety Officer 1 and HRMO/Management Representatives on the technical requirements in implementing the DTI-DOLE Interim Guidelines in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the workplace as well as to capacitate them with the skills needed in promoting productivity, safety and health in the workplace.

The pool of speakers from DOLE and its attached agencies will discuss the following aside from DTI-DOLE Interim Guidelines:  Family Welfare Program and the Roles of Safety Officers, Briefer on Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Safety Officer 1, Emergency Preparedness in the Workplace, 7S of Good Housekeeping: Setting the Pathway to a Safe Workplace in the Period of Pandemic and LMC: A Bi-partite Mechanism of a Safe and Healthy Workplace.

This webinar will be conducted in 3 batches on the following dates: Batch 1 from August 11-12; Batch 2 from 18-19 and Batch 3 on August 28-29. Certificates of Attendance will be given to those who will be able to complete the 2-day webinar.
