ZAMBOANGA CITY — Some 132 individuals in Molave Municipality will receive livelihood starter kits from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 9 under DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).

This was after Regional Director Atty. Roy L. Buenafe personally handed the check amounting to Php 1,003,085.00 to Mayor Cyril Reo A. Glepa of LGU-Molave during a simple turn-over ceremony at the Municipal Hall on April 13, 2021.

The amount will be used to purchase tools and jigs as well as raw materials for the starter kits of the beneficiaries’ chosen livelihood such as Rice Trading, Meat Processing, and Native Delicacy Production.

Witnessing the turn-over were Vice Mayor Monalisa J. Glepa, Ms. Miraflor Casanes, Head of DOLE ZDS Field Office and Mr. Diosdado Lactuan, PESO Manager.

The DOLE KSK Project is a livelihood formation strategy that is intended to bring about improved socio-economic well-being of workers in the informal economy, in groups/sectors with special concerns, and displaced wage workers (local and overseas) and their families.

The project will provide a livelihood Starter Kits consisting of a package of services that will enable the target beneficiaries to start a livelihood undertaking and become self-employed. It aims to engage them in sustainable self-employment through easy to learn livelihood undertakings. END
