Some 2,636 high school students from grades 10 and 12 participated in a 2-day Career Readiness Education and Employment Facilitation (CREEF) Caravan II on February 21-22, 2019 at the Dipolog City Sport Complex, Olingan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The caravan was a convergence effort of the Department of Education (DepEd) Dipolog City Division, Department of Labor and Employment IX (DOLE 9), Youth Foundation Formation and private educational institutions.

Zamboanga del Norte Field Office Head Lourdes B. Amores reported to Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo that the objective was to equip the students with proper information regarding different senior high school tracks, curriculum exit assessment, scholarship and courses offered by selected local institutions and Labor Market Information with the emerging Key Employment Generators; local and overseas.

All participants are from the different DepEd Secondary schools in Dipolog City.

Participants had a chance to learn about the different topics discussed such as Senior High School Tracks and Strands, Labor Market Information and Key Employment Generators, Curriculum Exits and Access to Quality Tertiary Education.

Different schools like Andres Bonifacio College (ABC), Dipolog Institute of Technology (DCIT), Dipolog Medical Centre College Foundation Inc. (DMCCFI), Systems Technology Institute (STI), and Saint Vincent’s College Inc. (SVCI) also gave career talks and scholarship offerings available. END/With reports from Franz Nico L. Reyes
