ZAMBOANGA CITY– Qualified beneficiaries of the DOLE CAMP for Education Sector may now claim their 5,000 pesos cash assistance through any USSC Branch in the Region.

Regional Director Atty. Roy L. Buenafe said that the announcement came after the DOLE Central Office allotted more budget to pay the pending approved applications under the said program.

“We already paid a total of Php 760,000.00 for 152 beneficiaries in the 1st tranche sometime in December 2020 . We had to stop the payout because the budget was already exhausted.

But the good news is that there is enough cash now to pay the remaining 581 beneficiaries,” Director Buenafe said.

Beneficiaries will receive a notification from USSC to claim their cash assistance. Those residing in Mahayag Municipality, Zamboanga del Sur may claim their assistance from BETTER U Boutique located in Poblacion Upper Mahayag. Beneficiaries from Manukan Municipality, Zamboanga del Norte may claim it from Rural Bank of Manukan located in Poblacion Manukan, ZDN.

Director Buenafe reminds the public that only those whose applications were approved will be paid. To determine the status of application, employees may coordinate with their employers.
He also reminds that beneficiaries have at least 45 days or until July 27, 2021 to claim the said assistance at USSC.
