She further added, “The PESO functions not only to serve its constituents in its locality but it has become a network wherein PESO Managers from different cities, municipalities and provinces exchange best practices to better their delivery of services.”

The bench marking activity aimed to further strengthen the association, to gather information, share best practices relative to the implementation of PESO Programs and Services in Region 7. The activity was supported by the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE).

Some 27 participants composed of ZamPen PESOMAP Officers and members of the Management Committee of DOLE 9 attended the 2-day activity. Representatives from PESO Cebu or Department of Manpower Development and Placement (DMDP) Cebu helped the participants on the process of the bench marking through the use of guide questions following the core functions of the PESO.

The activity included the tour of the DMDP training facilities and participation of the PESO Managers as assessors during the presentation of the Food and Beverage trainees.

The PESO Managers also exchanged best practices on the preparation of bid books for Search for Best PESO. A post-activity session was then conducted to process the results of the bench marking
