DIPOLOG, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE — Some 50 interns under the Department of Labor and Employment’s Government Internship Program (GIP) have completed the 3-6 months engagement with various partner agencies on November 25, 2019.
DOLE 9 Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo shared that the GIP is a flagship program which aims to attract the best and brightest to serve the government. (insert GIP facts)
DOLE Zamboanga del Norte Field Office (DOLE-ZDNFO) conducted a culminating exercise to this effect at Lazzy Function Hall, East Poblacion, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte intended to solicit feedback, insights and conduct assessment.
In behalf of the Municipal Mayor of Rizal, Hon. Fiona Marie C. Manigsaca, Vice Mayor Hon. Roseller M. Manigsaca expressed thanks to the DOLE RO9 under the leadership of Dir. Domingo who positively responded their proposal. As it was their first time to propose for GIP with 50 beneficiaries.
The following interns also expressed words of gratitude to DOLE for the internship opportunity:
“Being able to be a part of the Government Internship Program as Intern is a great opportunity for it helped me acquire more skills that enhance my capabilities and my abilities.” according to Ms. Hanna Matabalan as she gave her impression.
Mr. Marjon Palon, a graduate of Bachelor in Science in Elementary Education confessed that he is not computer literate. He was very thankful for having been given the opportunity because only during his six months internships he able to acquire more knowledge about computers.
