ZAMBOANGA CITY, June 2, 2022 – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 9 joins the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the celebration of World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) on June 12 to raise awareness about the situation of child laborers and to show solidarity with the global movement against child labor.
For this year’s WDACL commemoration, DOLE 9 is inviting the youth to bring forth their creativity and participate in a Mural Painting and Poster Making contest focusing on the theme: “Bata: Ikaw ang Tunay na Malaya”.
MURAL PAINTING CONTEST
WHO CAN JOIN?
- All interested youth groups/organizations in Zamboanga City.
- Group must be composed of at least five (5) members
- Members must be at least 15-30 years old
- Persons with Disability (PWD), Out-of-School Youth (OSY) and those enrolled in Alternative Learning System (ALS) are highly encouraged to participate.
MECHANICS/GUIDELINES:
- Interested individuals shall submit a sample of their artwork that depicts e the general theme “Bata: Ikaw ang Tunay na Malaya” with a short m description that will be uploaded thru this link: https://bit.ly/MPEntries
- The mural must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme of the 2022 v World Day Against Child Labor Celebration
- Qualified participants must appear on June 11, 2022 at the DOLE Regional g Office 9, Dr. Evangelista St. Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City
- All mural paintings must be done on the spot. There is no time limit as long as this will be done before the final judging which is set on June 12, 2022 at 11 am.
- The DOLE will provide the space/wall to be painted by the participants
- Materials will be provided on the day of the competition.
- Last day of registration and submission of entries will be on June 8, 2022
TRADITIONAL POSTER MAKING CONTEST
WHO CAN JOIN?
- All interested Junior (Grades 7-10) and Senior High School students (Grades 11-12) and Out-of-School Youth (OSY) residing in X Zamboanga City.
MECHANICS/GUIDELINES:
- Interested individuals shall submit a sample of their artwork that depicts the general theme “Bata: Ikaw ang Tunay na Malaya” thru this link: https://bit.ly/PMEntries
- Each participant shall submit only one (1) entry .
- The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme of the 2022 World Day Against Child Labor Celebration.
- Short-listed and qualified participants will receive a confirmation message and must appear on the scheduled date and venue for the said contest.
- All artworks must be done on the spot and must be completed within the allotted time of two and a half (2.5) hours.
- Materials will be provided on the day of the competition.
- All posters will become official properties of DOLE 9.
- Last day of registration and submission of entries will be on June 8, 2022
