LILOY, ZDN – In an effort to alleviate the conditions and overcome the challenges faced by disadvantaged workers, the Department of Labor and Employment Zamboanga del Norte Field Office (DOLE-ZDNFO) through its Liloy Satellite Office, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte, successfully carried out the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) payout held on July 28, 2023, at the Legislative Building, this municipality.

A total of 100 beneficiaries from the Municipality of Liloy reaped the benefits of the TUPAD Program, where they actively engaged in meaningful work for the betterment of their communities. From July 10 to July 26, 2023, the beneficiaries dedicated four (4) hours per day to various tasks under the guidance of their respective Barangay Local Government Units (BLGU). Each beneficiary received Php 5,265.00 for the 15 days of work.

Mr. Reginaldo R. Eroy, the LGU-Liloy Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager, commended the beneficiaries for their accomplishments and contributions. He expressed his gratitude to BLGU Punta for its active participation as an Accredited Co-Partner in the implementation of the TUPAD Program. Furthermore, Mr. Eroy conveyed his appreciation to DOLE for the TUPAD implementation for the constituents of Liloy.

Mr. Francis A. Hatab, OIC of DOLE Liloy Satellite Office, conveyed his gratitude to LGU-Liloy. The combined efforts have successfully brought DOLE’s programs and services closer to those in need.

Ms. Billa Guadalquiver, one of the beneficiaries from Barangay Fatima, shared her appreciation for the assistance provided by DOLE and LGU Liloy through the TUPAD Program. She expressed how the program’s aid has significantly eased the burden on her family by ensuring they have access to basic necessities, particularly food.

DOLE 9 RD Albert E. Gutib said that the TUPAD Program continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to empowering communities and individuals.
