LILOY, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – The Department of Labor and Employment Zamboanga del Norte Field Office (DOLE-ZDNFO) through its Liloy Satellite Office in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), conducted an orientation on Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para Sa Ating Displaced or Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) to 100 beneficiaries on July 10, 2023 at the Legislative Building, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

Reginaldo R. Eroy, LGU-Liloy PESO Manager, thanked DOLE for the unending support in the implementation of TUPAD and other programs. He also thanked Barangay LGU Punta which served as the Accredited Co-Partner. He congratulated the beneficiaries, who were chosen out of all the constituents and were given an opportunity to work under the program.

Hon. Roberto L. Uy, Jr., LGU-Liloy Municipal Mayor, expressed his gratitude to DOLE for the TUPAD implementation in the municipality. He also expressed his hopes to the beneficiaries that the salary they will receive after working for 15 days, will help alleviate their livelihood and/or on their day-to-day needs.

Supervising Labor and Employment Officer and Head of Liloy Satellite Office, Francis A. Hatab, emphasized to the beneficiaries to always look after one’s safety while working. He also expressed his gratitude to the Local Government Unit for the support.

The selected beneficiaries will work for four hours a day within 15 days. They will receive a minimum wage of Php 351.00/day and will be assigned to work at their respective Barangay Local Government Units (BLGU). Apart from the OSH Orientation, the beneficiaries were also provided with Personal Protective Equipment and covered with GSIS Personal Accident Insurance (GPAI). END/with reports from JSRMejico, ZDNFO
