IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY – The Department of Labor and Employment IX (DOLE 9) through its Zamboanga Sibugay Field Office rendered Labor and Employment Education Services (LEES) to 150 members of various rubber-tapping cooperatives on October 3, 2019 at the GARMBEMCO Function Hall, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

DOLE 9 Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo shared that the orientation which is under the Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) meant to discuss the importance of workplace productivity, rights and responsibility of workers and employers. At the same time, it seeks to improve camaraderie within the organization to achieve mutual goals.

WODP serves as a facilitating mechanism in strengthening trade unions and other workers’ organizations. It provides an opportunity for systemic learning and growth aiming at greater productivity, prosperity and welfare to the employer, workers’ organization and its members and their dependents.

DOLE Sibugay Team headed by Chief Labor and Employment Officer Imelda F. Gatinao led the discussion of various topics during the conduct of plenary and open forum to include Values and Spiritual Formation Reorientation, Productivity in the Workplace, Related Labor Issuances, Family Welfare Program and WODP.

Ms. Lilia G. Manuel, General Manager of GARBEMCO, has extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Department for the technical assistance they have received:
