When Christian Mae B. Sajulan graduated with a degree in Education, she didn’t expect her future to become as spectacular as it is now.

Back to when she was a student in 2014, she was admitted as a SPES beneficiary of Jose Rizal State University.

“The SPES Program helped me showcase my skills and gain more self-confidence, aside of course, from the fact that the program helped me defray my academic expenses.”

It was in 2015 that she, along with other program beneficiaries, joined a talent competition called “SPES Got Talent” which the DOLE Zamboanga del Norte Field Office organized. With her talent and love for dancing, her group bagged second place and went home with 10,000 pesos in cash.

Fast forward to the future, the gifted dancer is now a public school teacher at Bacungan National High School, Zamboanga del Norte where she continues to encourage students to showcase and make good use of their talents and skills. It is also where she actively shares her experience as a SPES Baby, graduate, achiever and star.

Her stint in dancing did not end with that dance competition in 2015, Christian Mae is now a TikTok sensation with over 11.6M followers and 240M likes. She continues to mesmerize viewers every time she sets the dancefloor ablaze.

“I am very thankful to DOLE for the SPES program. It did not only help me finance my education it also gave me the opportunity to express and use my talent in dancing. What I am and what I have achieved today was greatly influenced by my SPES journey and experience,” she said. END/With reports from DOLE ZDNFO
